Index to Larry Alan Thorne Special Forces Memorial Chapter 33

These pages have been written for the sole purpose of creating a history of our chapter through text and photos. Chapter XXXIII meets every quarter and these pages are laid out in yearly files indexed on the four quarters. At one time we held our summer (usually the 2d quarter) in conjunction with the National Convention. This proved to be too cumbersome in that most members did not attend the National Convention. We have now reverted back to our original mandate of holding four meetings a year outside of the National Convention.

It is true Chapter XXXIII received it's charter from National in 1980 and these pages only date back to 2001. What happened to the previous 20 years? 2001 was the year I started working on this web site.

Matt Matteson was the first unofficial/official Chapter photographer and, up until the time of his death, he took hundreds of photos. In early 2008, I was given seven photo albums which Matt had made. Many of these photos were copied and put on this web site. You can, if you're interested, look at these Albums. Many of the photos cover the years between 1980 and 2001.
